We are a caring, welcoming and faith-filled community where we are committed to building and maintaining strong relationships between home, school and parish to support the learning and growth of all students. Our Catholic faith is integrated into learning throughout the day so that students not only learn their faith but also put their faith into action by becoming living witnesses to the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations.
At St. James Catholic School, we believe everyone has the right to experience a safe and inclusive learning environment and that every person must be treated with dignity and respect. We understand that each student is unique and we celebrate individual qualities, knowing that diversity is a gift from God. Each person in our school community enriches our faith-filled environment with his or her own unique gifts and talents.
Each week, we share a Parent Week-at-a-Glance (WAAG) that is emailed to all families. This is a weekly update on both current and upcoming events at the school as well as some important reminders for families. We share the message that we must always have hope and to strive to walk with Jesus as followers in faith. We work to ignite the joy and hope in our students and open their hearts to journey with us as Christians in a Catholic school. This is what we will continue to strive for within the HPCDSB and at St. James Catholic school. This is a collective responsibility that we all know takes the collaboration with home, school and parish. We look forward to this learning journey alongside our students and families. Together we celebrate this gift of Catholic Education with you all as we nurture and model for our students how to grow in Christ, friendship and develop knowledge.
